As part of his Mother's Day gift, Daddy took today off from work to stay home and watch my sister so Mommy and I could spend the day at Epcot together. And what a day it was! The days before had been so hot outside, but today's weather was a gift. We got there early and there wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was way cooler than it had been in a while. The best part about it was the Flower and Garden Festival was still going on, so there were beautiful flowers and topiaries all over the park.
We immediately raced over to Test Track because that ride is FUN and everybody knows it, so we wanted to beat the crowds. Well guess what? There were no crowds! Sure there were lots of people but we hardly had to wait in line for anything. Test Track was no exception. Mommy had never gotten to go on it before and boy were we excited. It did not disappoint. I love going fast! I love flying too! So we headed right over to Soarin' and flew all over California. I can't get enough of that ride.
The rest of the day was just as fun as we explored the rest of Epcot, rode the rides and took in all the wonderful flowers and gardens around the park. We even made time to visit with some of my favorite Disney characters like we always do. Minnie even signed my hat!!! We also got to watch a Beatles concert, sample some yummy soda drinks from around the world, watch a lady make candy art with her hands, see a juggler and some Chinese acrobats perform, and play on some awesome playgrounds. I also made a new friend. Her name was Lily (just like my sister!) and she was visiting with her family from out of town. They were very nice and they even shared a great spot with us at the end of the day to watch the big fireworks show.
All in all, it was a wonderful day and I was so happy to spend it with my wonderful Mommy.

Thank you, Mommy, for always putting me first, even on your birthday.

I just got back from a wonderful weekend visiting family and celebrating my 6th birthday. Most of my family was there and we had such a good time.
Saturday morning Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Lily and I all went to the beach! I love the beach! We played for a few hours and I had a great time running around in the water, collecting shells and building sand mountains. I even made a new friend and she let me float around on her boogie board.
Later that afternoon, the rest of my family came over to Nana's to celebrate both Mommy's and my birthday. Mommy and I opened presents, while everybody else turned the used wrapping paper into a "snowball" fight (it's a tradition). Then afterwards everybody sang Happy Birthday and I blew out the candles on my chocolate chip cookie cake. I'm not much of a fan of regular cake, so this year we tried something different and I loved it. I also got to enjoy some of my favorite gelatos: orange, strawberry, and my favorite, coconut! Boy, was I stuffed.
On Sunday, we went to church with Nana and then afterwards went out to eat with my Uncle Dan and Aunt Celestina and then went back to Nana's to relax for a few hours. It was a long busy weekend so the quiet time was nice, but then we had to pack everything up and head home. I was sad to go, but I had such a great time. Thank you to all my family for making it a very Happy Birthday weekend.
