I wasn't feeling so well yesterday. My tummy hurt so bad I couldn't even stand up. It got better for a little while last night so I could go to sleep, but this morning it started getting bad again. Mommy took me down the emergency room today and after some tests, the doctors figured out that my gall bladder is blocked up and I will need sugery to clear it out. I'm so hungry. They haven't let me eat anything and it looks like I will have to go to bed without dinner because it keeps the pain from coming back. Please pray for me and my doctors because they will be doing my surgery first thing tomorrow morning.

Well, I'm still here at the hospital, but they haven't done any surgery yet. The doctors took another look at my gall bladder and confirmed that I have a blockage in my bile duct that will have to be cleared out before they do anything else. They say it is putting stress on my other organs and it is the reason my skin and eyes have turned so yellow. Unfortunately they can't fix it here at this hospital so tomorrow I will have to be transferred to another hospital. In the mean time I have to hang out here and get some rest. At least I got to finally eat today. I was so hungry and dinner tasted so good. Daddy and Lily came around dinner time and we all got to visit for a little while.

Another day at the hospital. Today my Nana came by for a visit. She's helping take care of my sister Lily while my Daddy goes to work. Mommy and I have been cooped up in this room for so long it was nice to have a visitor. My tummy still hurts off and on, but I forget about it for a little while when I have things to distract. me. Things got a little more exciting when they finally came to take me to the other hospital. I got to ride in an ambulance! Normally people don't get too excited about riding in an ambulance, but it was the highlight of my day. After a short ride, we arrived at the other hospital and they took me up to my room, all the way up to the 14th floor. There's quite a view from up here. Mommy came shortly after and now we're finally settled in. Then, to pass the time, I got to watch Pooh's Heffalump Movie and the Curious George movie - two of my favorites. They say tomorrow I will finally have my surgery. I'm a little nervous, but at this point I'm ready for anything that will make my tummy feel better. I just want it to be over with so I can finally go home. Please pray that it all goes well.

Well, my surgery didn't happen today. Apparently I was bumped off the schedule until tomorrow. Instead I spent the day resting in my room. A lady came and brought me some toys and activities for me to play with, so that was nice. Speaking of nice, my hospital room is quite fancy. We're all the way up on the very top floor of this building and the whole thing was completely renovated recently. They say this floor was designed to be the VIP suites but they're temporarily using it for sick kids while they finish up the new children's wing of the hospital. We have a huge window and I can see for miles from way up here. We also have a big TV and lots of space so if I had to be cooped up all day this isn't a bad place to be.

Well today was the day. Although, by now my tummy had not been hurting so much. The morning was pretty uneventful, but this afternoon they came and wheeled me away to the room where they get me ready for surgery. I was a little nervous, but Mommy was there. She said they gave me something to drink and after a few minutes I started giggling at everything. They said it was supposed to relax me before they put me to sleep. Mommy said it definitely worked. I don't remember anything after that, but the next thing I knew I was waking up in a different room and I felt REALLY groggy. Mommy came in and she sat with me while I continued to wake up. So how did my surgery go? Well, it turned out that after everything I'd been through this week, they didn't find anything. The surgeon fished a special camera down my throat, into my stomach and up into where my gall bladder is and they didn't find anything blocking it. From what they could tell, there probably was a blockage earlier in the week, but it had worked itself out while I was waiting in the hospital. The surgeon said he "made a little room" while he was in there to help in case this happens again, but other than that there was not much else to do and I could probably go home tomorrow...

    What a week.

Today I woke up feeling much better. Mommy, on the other hand was in very bad shape. Overnight she became really sick and was throwing up all night long. The first thing in the morning she called Daddy to come down to the hospital because she could barely move. The nurses couldn't even do anything for her because technically she wasn't a patient, so Daddy left my sister with Nana and he came down to take care of both of us. All we wanted to do was go home, but the hospital wasn't going to release us until my doctor gave the all-clear on me. We spent the day resting in my room until finally later that afternoon the hospital said we could go home. Daddy packed up all our stuff and a man came with a wheel-chair to bring me to our car. Mommy was still feeling really bad and couldn't walk so she rode in the chair with me in her lap. It was a loooooooong walk to our car but we eventually made it and after a short ride in the car we were finally home. It felt so good to be home after being away for 6 days. Lily was so glad to see me and Mommy and I was so glad to sleep in my own bed again. I said a little prayer for Mommy to get better. She works so hard to take care of me. I don't know why she had to get so sick.
