I recently met a very nice lady named Karen. She used to work with my Daddy and now she's starting a business of her own as a photographer. She specializes in taking natural light photos of children and families. So we figured, hey, I'm a kid, and we're definitely a family, so why not give it a go. So she came over the other day and took a bunch of shots of me and Mommy just doing our thing. We just got the pictures back today and boy did they turn out awesome! Here's a few below, and you can check out more of her work at www.karenleslie.com.

We had so much fun taking pictures with Miss Karen last time that we decided to do it again. This time we all went to the beach and she took dozens of photos of us running around having fun. I loved playing in the water. It was a lot of fun to feel the waves splashing my legs and the sand squishing between my toes. I even chased a bird or two, but they were too fast. As always, Miss Karen captured some wonderful shots.

Our family is getting ready to leave on a little vacation this weekend so rather than risk my anemia getting too bad while we're gone, my parents decided it was best to get a transfusion before we left. It's been several weeks since my last one so I was about due anyway. I'm looking forward to getting away for a little while. Supposedly we're going to see something called 'mountains'. We don't have those where I live so I'm really curious to see what they're all about.

Well we made it. It was a long drive, but it was worth it. Yesterday we just took it easy and visited the nearby town of Alpine Helen. Then last night we attended the wedding of one of my Mommy's cousins. That was lots of fun. I got to see some of my relatives again and my friend Jocie was even there with her family. There was lots of good food and music and I danced all over the place.
The fun ended later that night though, when I woke up not feeling so good. Long story short, I was up all night with vomiting and diarrhea. Mommy and Daddy were up with me and it didn't stop until just before the sun came up. When I woke up today I still wasn't feeling that great so we stayed at the cabin and got more rest.
It was a beautiful sunny day, but really cold and windy. I had fun looking at all the colorful trees from our back porch and going up and down the stairs with my cousin Makayla. After my nap, we packed up the car and headed out for Charlotte. We were going to spend the next several days exploring North Carolina but little did we know that our trip would be cut short when Mommy came down with the same awful bug I had.

Since our family vacation didn't turn out so well, Mommy and Daddy decided to make up for it this morning with a little surprise. We were going to Disney World! I was so excited to be going again. I could hardly contain myself when we finally got into the Magic Kingdom and I saw Mickey Mouse performing out in front of Cinderella's castle. It was such a beautiful day and we had such a fun time. I got to go on a lot of the rides I didn't get to go on last time. We rode Aladdin's Magic Carpets, went on a Jungle Cruise, watched a parade, and I even climbed the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. I wasn't a fan of the Tiki Bird show because it was loud and parts of it were scary. Mommy had to take me out before it was over. The carousel was fun, as always, and I got to ride It's a Small World again. But the highlight of my day was getting to meet Winnie the Pooh in person. I was literally shaking with anticipation while we waited our turn in line. When my turn finally came, I ran over to him and give him a BIG hug. I had the biggest smile on my face. I didn't want to let go but I had to let the other kids have their turn too. I told Pooh "thank you" and "bye bye" and we went on our way. Finally, we capped off our day by watching the light parade and then we headed home. What a great day. I'll never forget my visit with Pooh.
