Sydney's Journal - January 2006

By now it's almost routine. About every 4 weeks, my blood runs low and I need some more. It's a shame because there was a time a while back when it would last almost 6 or 7 weeks, but not lately. It's been right around 4 weeks every time. I hope this trend doesn't last. I'd much prefer feeling better longer. But as for today, I got some more blood and I'm feeling better already. Hopefully that trend will last for a while.

My good friend, Tyler, turned the big 1 today and I had the honor of being invited to his birthday party. It was a small casual affair and I felt right at home. It may have been his birthday, but I was having fun helping him open all his presents. I even 'play tested' most of them first before he got a chance to play with them himself. That's what friends are for, you know? I had to make sure his new toys were play-worthy. Sometimes I forgot they were his toys and had a hard time giving them up, but Mommy kept reminding me of this 'sharing' concept we've been going over. I'm still working on it. All-in-all it was a good time and I look forward to helping him play with his new toys next year.

Compared to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season last month, this month has been a quiet one. Not much in particular has been going on since then, aside from my usual day-to-day kid stuff. So here's a few pictures of me doing my thing.
