Would you believe it? Another hurricane. I've only been around less than 4 months and here I am experiencing my second hurricane. Once again the winds and the rains came and our power was knocked out again for 3 days. But fortunately the winds weren't as strong this time and we didn't have to hide in the closet.

I didn't know this at first, but apparently I'm a Florida State fan. Dada dressed me up in an FSU outfit and we watched something on TV they call football. I really didn't follow what was going on, but it was fun to sit with Dada anyway. He even taught me this move they call the "Tomahawk Chop".

This is getting ridiculous. I'm 4 months old now and I've been through more hurricanes than most people go through in a lifetime. Once again, it got really rainy and windy and sure enough our power went out, but fortunately our house was still okay. And this time the power came back on after 2 days instead of 3.

It was that time again. I really wasn't feeling well. They had tried to give me a transfusion a couple days before, but the nurses couldn't find any good veins. The doctors decided it was time to do something to make it a little easier. They wanted to give me something called a port, but my blood was so low they felt it was safer to give me something called a Broviac tube instead. I had to go to the hospital again. They took me away from Mama and put me to sleep. It was scary but the doctors were doing what was best for me.
When I woke up again I felt really groggy and sore. I looked down and there was a tube hanging out of my chest. This was new. Mama said from now on the nurses could use the tube to take samples and give me blood and I wouldn't have to get poked with needles anymore. Sounded good to me.

The day after I got the Broviac tube I woke up in the hospital to find out they weren't done with me yet. One of my doctors wanted to do something called a bone marrow sample. That didn't sound good. They took me into one of those rooms again and made me a little sleepy, but I was still awake. I couldn't feel anything but it turns out the doctor was sticking a big nasty needle into my hip bone and taking stuff out of it. Boy would I be glad when this was all over.
