Today I got to meet my Uncle Eric for the first time. He had been in the Army stationed over in Germany for many years. He was all done and finally got to come home. I also got to meet my other uncles, Uncle Bryan and Uncle Abe. What an interesting group of characters they are. They always make Mama laugh when they all get together.

Last night was like nothing else I had experienced before. Mama and Dada said something called a hurricane was coming, so we had to get ready. I had no idea what a hurricane was but I soon found out. It started raining and then around dinner time it started to get a little windy and it kept getting windier as the night went on. Not long after dinner we heard a loud bang and all the lights went out. It was a little scary.

Dada decided we should all go hide in the closet so we all huddled in the dark with pillows and a flashlight and listened to the loud wind outside. We could hear trees breaking and felt the house shaking. It seemed to last forever but after an hour or so it calmed down and we got to come out of the closet. It was still very dark so we all went to sleep.

The next day we walked around the neighborhood and saw so many trees that had been broken and blown over. Fortunately our house and our neighbors' houses were all fine. What a night.

I got to go a little longer on my last transfusion, but I always end up needing another one before long. For some reason my blood keeps running out and I need some more. Fortunately there are wonderful people out there that donate theirs so I can have more. Transfusions are never fun. They take several hours and I have to sit there the whole time, but Mama is always with me and this time Dada got to be there too. Because my blood is so low, the nurses usually can't find a good vein to start a transfusion and I have to get poked several times to find one. This time the only one they could find was in my head. Ouch.
