Guest Book - 2010

Whenever the Lord brings you to mind I will say a prayer for you and your family. My little girl, Hope Lauren (7 yrs), has hypercalcemia which is being caused by an undiagnosed disease. We first discovered this through a series of terrible illnesses and pain when she was 5yrs. She is currently taking daily injections of MiaCalcin (calcitonin), to keep too much calcium from leeching out of her bones, which are painful. She has had the gamut of tests and labs over the last 1 1/2 years and now no one knows what to do next. We pray for a diagnosis and cure but are trusting in Jesus Christ for her comfort and salvation. I pray the same for you and peace for your family and trust in Jesus Christ. I was fortunate enough to meet Sydney 2 days ago. I am an RN in the children's emergency room where Sydney is often a patient. Working in this environment I come across many children with chronic illnesses, but I have honestly never met someone like you Sydney. You are so brave and so strong, it's inspiring. I couldn't stop thinking about you or your wonderful mother on my way home from work that evening. I remembered you were going to color me a picture, but I had left before you were able to give it to me. When I came to work the next day, I found you had left it for me. It is a beautiful Belle doll. I love it. I will continue to pray for you and your family. God will never put anything on anybody's plate that He thinks they can't handle. He must think you are pretty strong too. I hope we will meet again soon, but not in the ED!

It was great seeing you all at the family reunion :-) From Amy's update on facebook I heard Sydney may need Gallbladder surgery. Please know she and your family are and have been in my prayers. If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ask. And one request from me, please give Sydney a hug and tell her that is is from her 2nd cousin whom she met at the reunion.
